40th Anniversary for Chard antiques market

THE Mayor and Mayoress of Chard, Cllr Martin Wale and his wife Nannette, visited Chard Antiques Market to celebrate its 40th anniversary on Thursday.

The market, held in The Guildhall, has attracted thousands of visitors over the years.
The Mayor and Mayoress, joined by a handful of the many stallholders, are seen cutting a celebration cake during the weekly market. Included are Jill and Richard Jordan, Heather Mead and John Collard.
