London Art Fairs

Published June 2nd, 2006

June in London is high season for collectors. Not only is it opening time for major art fairs, but it is a busy time for the auction houses as well.
Among the fairs kicking off next week are the Antiquarian Book Fair, with offerings from medieval illuminated manuscripts to first editions of Harry Potter; the Hali Fair, with textiles and tribal art from five continents; and the Summer Fair, Olympia, with a huge assortment of furniture, paintings, ceramics, glassware, silver, sculpture, jewelry and Asian art. The Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair, the U.K.’s most glamorous, opens June 15.
