Tennessee Fair wants $300,000 in funding

The Tennessee State Fairgrounds wants $300,000 of taxpayer money from the state to help ease rising expenses and improve the overall quality of the annual state fair.
If approved, the funding would make the Tennessee State Fair the only fair in the state to receive general state dollars.

Job fairs, renovation start at Lucky MaGee?s

Fair cancelled due to roadworks

Melton’s annual Frost Fayre has been cancelled because of roadworks.
Central Networks was set to lay new cables in February but the work has now been delayed until March.
Melton Borough Council has apologised to residents and businesses but it is too late to hold the event in February as usual.
